Makayla is trying to learn how to navigate through life as a young adult. Her self- esteem and identity has been tremendously shaped by the lack of love and guidanceshe's longing for and most importantly needs. Makayla's paradigm is most impacted by the unfortunate absence of her father. The surrounding gang violence claimed his life when she was only 3 years old.

Her father's absence also leaves her two brothers searching to create an idea of what the man of the house should look like. They must either adopt the street life-style or reform against it. The family’s grief results in their mother battling a dark addiction to opioids introduced by her abusive and predatory boyfriend. With the passing of their grandmother, the rock of the family, Makayla is forced to step in. She must pick up the rod in which her grandmother once carried and lead. But In order for Makayla to model her grandmother's foundation of faith and help lead her family out of their wilderness, Makayla must first give herself permission to heal.

The wisdom and careful handling of this challenging but rewarding mantle begins to

slowly connect Makayla to every promise God has destined for her and her family; including receiving a revelation to be obedient to a word that would change her and her family's future, forever.
